FasTracks is a transit project that will build 122 miles of new commuter rail and light rail service and 18 miles of bus rapid transit, as well as new stations, parking facilities, and enhanced regional bus service in the Denver metro region.
In 2004, voters approved a sales tax increase of 4 tenths of a cent to fund FasTracks. However, in March 2009, a RTD study determined that, due to the recession and an increase in materials cost, more money will actually be needed to complete FasTracks in a timely fashion.
Right now, RTD is trying to figure out the best and most efficient way to build out FasTracks. Options they are looking at include raising the money needed to build out the system on-time and in full, building out some lines but not others, and building out the whole system on a much slower schedule that originally anticipated. Please help us by taking a minute or two to respond to this survey, and we will use your responses to report back to RTD!
We apologize, but the selected Survey is currently unavailable.
