About the event:
This year’s Rebel with a Cause Gala was a smashing success!  A record 475 attendees, volunteers and staff gathered in Denver’s Seawell Ballroom on June 9th to meet our “Rebel”, Terry Tempest Williams, along with Governor Bill Ritter, Jr., Mayor John Hickenlooper and Conservation Hero Awardees New Belgium Brewing Company (award accepted by CEO Kim Jordan) and John Ely, on behalf of the Healthy Rivers and Streams Vision of the Roaring Fork Valley. Guests at the event bid on world-class getaways and top-of-the-line outdoor gear in the silent and live auctions and enjoyed a delicious dinner from Epicurean Catering and complimentary beverages from New Belgium Brewing Company throughout the evening.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Gala Match!
During CEC's Gala, an anonymous donor generously pledged to match up to $20,000 for any contributions made during the Gala paddleraiser and in the weeks following the event. We raised $13,500 at the Gala and nearly $5,300 during June and the first half of July, bringing the grand total to $18,840.  Because we have less than $1,200 to go to meet our goal, our donor has offered to continue matching donations until it is reached.
