One week to put green recovery legislation over finish line
Take Action Today!
We have an opportunity to aid in a “green recovery” in Colorado by strengthening our investment in the New Energy Economy. With only a week left in the legislative session, legislators will gather at the capitol to get the suite of green recovery bills over the finish line.
Colorado has proven that a green recovery works—we can grow jobs, diversify our economy, increase energy security, and protect our environment all at the same time.
There’s a suite of bills for solar, wind, and energy efficiency heading to the finish line, including:
• HB 1312 – Creating opportunities for schools to invest in clean energy
• HB 1126 - Creating tax incentives for solar hot water
• HB 1323 – Ensuring Coloradoans who get power from rural co-ops have access to the same cost-saving energy efficiency as larger utilities
• HB 1345 – Creating a transmission infrastructure to put clean, green electrons on the wires and make Colorado a net-clean energy exporter
• HB 1331- Creates tax incentives for high technology motor vehicles already available to car buyers such as zero emission and low emission vehicles as well as cars reaching upwards of 70 miles-per-gallon
• HB 1346 Investment Recovery Act – Maximizies the opportunity to leverage federal support for clean energy projects in Colorado that create homegrown jobs
