Save the Date for Rebel 2012
Date: Thursday, May 24, 2012
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Where: Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts 1000 14th Street, Denver, Colorado

Honorary Chairs Senator Michael Bennet & Susan Daggett invite you to join us on May 24, 2012 at the Denver Center for Performing Arts for the conservation community's signature event of the year: the Rebel with a Cause Gala. Mingle with high-profile lawmakers, sustainability pioneers and outdoor industry leaders and be a part of CEC's work to safeguard Colorado's environment and quality of life.
The evening will include a VIP reception, silent and live auctions, an elegant dinner and keynote from our “Rebel” honoree, Peter Metcalf.
Meet our 2012 Rebel with a Cause: Peter Metcalf
Peter Metcalf is the lead founder, CEO and President of Salt Lake City-based Black Diamond Equipment, a top manufacturer in climbing, skiing and outdoor gear. Peter is best known for leading the outdoor industry to challenge Governor Leavitt and Secretary Norton on a proposal that would have removed protection for millions of acres of wilderness-quality lands. From early days as an oil-field roughneck, then climbing guide, and now CEO, Peter has always been an outspoken advocate for wilderness and public lands.
